To coincide with the Black British Style exhibition, the V&A has teamed up with leading black music crew Blacktronica for October's Friday Late with an evening of eclectic black music and film. The V&A's magnificent galleries will be filled with the sounds of African rhythms, hip hop, black electronica and gospel including live performances by the extraordinary percussionist Lekan Babalola - who performs with Roy Ayers and Miles Davis.

Highlights include:
Special independent films, 'Uncut', hosted by Joel Karamath, will be shown throughout the evening. Films include acclaimed short DIGITALIS by Beyonder screened at OneDotZero8 earlier in the year as part of the Uncut program.
The sounds of Blacktronica's DJs Charlie Dark, Acyde & Tic in the main dome.
Transatlantic hairdresser to the stars, Five, who has styled P-Diddy and Craig David, will cut and restyle the hair of some lucky visitors. Kangol hats specially customised by graffiti artists will be given away on the night.
